With other professors from the Civil Law department and the research group, he published Jurisprudential Law-Civil Law Area in 2016, the first study in Uruguayan jurisprudence that is based on the Restatement of the American Law Institute.

Martín Studer is a Uruguayan professional specialized in tax law. He has contributed significantly to this field through various publications and academic participations.

Among his notable works is the co-authorship of the book “Regulatory Decrees of the DGI: Updated Version as of July 31, 2001,” published by the University Culture Foundation in 2001. This book addresses key topics of Uruguayan tax law, including taxes such as the IRIC, IRA, IVA, IMESI, among others. 

In addition, Studer has written specialized articles, such as “The source of passive income and double taxation due to source-source conflict”, published in the Tributaria Magazine in November-December 2012. In this article, he analyzes passive income and conflicts of double taxation in the Uruguayan tax system. 

At the institutional level, Martín Studer has played relevant roles. He is a member of the Uruguayan Institute of Tax Studies (IUET), where he has held positions as Regular Director in the period 2023-2025

Likewise, he has participated in academic and professional events, such as the 2022 Tax Days organized by the General Tax Directorate (DGI) of Uruguay, where he represented the Catholic University of Uruguay.
