Juan Carlos Blanco Comas

 LAWYER

He received the title of Doctor of Law and Social Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay, as well as the master’s degree (LLM) in Business Law from the American University (Washington D.C.), having received the Fulbright Foundation scholarship. Juan Carlos Blanco is recognized by the 2016 edition of Who’s Who Legal as a leading lawyer in Transportation and Aeronautical Regulation. The international publication Chambers & Partners also recognizes Juan Carlos in its Global and Latin American editions, where he has been described as «a problem solver who analyzes issues in detail and depth.» In 2016 he was selected by the Aeronautical Chamber as a representative before the sector’s Salary Council. He was distinguished by Chambers & Partners 2019 in the Corporate, Litigation and Arbitration, and Energy and Natural Resources areas.

Martín Colombo Risso

 LAWYER

He received his Doctor of Law degree from the Catholic University of Uruguay. He attended The Academy of American and International Law, run by the Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law, in Dallas (United States of America). In 2014 and 2015 he was recognized with the Client Choice in corporate services in Uruguay, awarded by the International Law Office, and since 2015 he has been recognized by Who’s Who Legal in the areas of Telecommunications, Media and Technology. He is a professor of Corporations and Social Finance in the master’s degree in Finance at the ORT University of Uruguay and Director of the Uruguayan Telecommunications Chamber since 2008. He participates advising companies linked to highly regulated sectors, such as telecommunications and financial services, and in the areas of technology, logistics and free zones.

Agustín Etcheverry Reyes

LAWYER

He graduated as Doctor in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay and completed his master’s degree in Business and Company Law (LLM) at the American University (Washington D.C.). He is a Specialist in Foreign Trade from the Catholic University of Uruguay (1993). Chambers & Partners mentions him as a leading lawyer in its Global and Latin America editions of 2016, where clients have described him as “very intelligent in strategic aspects” and as one who “knows how to structure and run a business”. He was a professor of Aspects of Commercial Law at the ORT University of Uruguay and at the University of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. He has been distinguished at Chambers & Partners 2019 in the Corporate, M & A, Tax and Real Estate areas. He is responsible for the Corporate and M&A and Tax practice, and participates in the structuring of real estate transactions. He is also an intellectual property agent.

Carlos Rodriguez Capurro

 LAWYER

He received the title Doctor in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (2000) and completed his Master’s degree in International Law (LLM) at the Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D. C. (United States of America) in 2004 He has had intense professional activity in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, project financing and structuring, as well as advising companies on international tenders. He has been a national and international speaker on banking secrecy, the carbon market, antitrust, the entry of Uruguayan exports into the European Union, the multilateral trade system, and international economic relations.

He currently intervenes in the strategy and coordination of multijurisdictional claims and arbitrations, actively participates in advising companies in the agribusiness sector and leads the Firm’s Litigation and Arbitration practice. He has been distinguished in Chambers & Partners 2019 in the Litigation and Real Estate area.

Valentín Sorhuet Bausero

Public Accountant

He received his Public Accountant degree from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Administration of the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay and completed his master’s degree in Accounting and Taxes at the Faculty of Administration of the Universidad ORT. He works in the Tax, Accounting, Corporate and Labor practice areas, and as a full professor in the Department of Taxes at the ORT University. Valentín Sorhuet is a member of the International Fiscal Association, the Uruguayan Institute of Tax Studies and the College of Accountants, Economists and Administrators of Uruguay.

María Verónica Duarte García

Academic Background He received the title of Doctor in Law and Social Sciences from the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay (2005) and completed his Master’s Degree in Law and Tax Technique at the Universidad de Montevideo. María Emilia Zaglio Turcatti

Academic Background: She received the title of Doctor of Law from the University of Montevideo (2004). Since 2015 she has been a full professor of the Obligations Law chair at the University of Montevideo, in which she had been an applicant since 2006. She was also an applicant at the Civil Liability chair at the University of Montevideo from 2005 to 2012. She is a member of the Civil Law research group of the University of Montevideo. With other professors of the Civil Law chair and the research group, she published Jurisprudential Law-Civil Law Area in 2016, the first study on Uruguayan jurisprudence based on the Restatement of the American Law Institute. She also collaborated on other publications, such as the Contract Manual (Volume I) by Dr. Beatriz Venturini and other authors, published by the University of Montevideo in 2015.
