He received the title of Doctor of Law and Social Sciences from the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay, as well as the master’s degree (LLM) in Business Law from the American University (Washington D.C.), having received the Fulbright Foundation scholarship. Juan Carlos Blanco is recognized by the 2016 edition of Who’s Who Legal as a leading lawyer in Transportation and Aeronautical Regulation. The international publication Chambers & Partners also recognizes Juan Carlos in its Global and Latin American editions, where he has been described as «a problem solver who analyzes issues in detail and depth.» In 2016 he was selected by the Aeronautical Chamber as a representative before the sector’s Salary Council. He attended The Academy of American and International Law, run by the Southwestern Institute for International and Comparative Law, in Dallas (United States of America).
